Welcome to the Little Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Little PMA is a free community art exchange program organized by Mt. Airy residents Karen Onorato and Mario Zucca. The premise is simple: Visit the miniature replica of the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art (located here) and take a piece of art or leave a piece of art—or do both!

Makers of all kinds—and all skill levels—are encouraged to participate. The Little PMA is the perfect spot to share your creations with the community even if you don’t consider yourself to be an expert artist.

All creative endeavors are welcome. Whether it’s a painting, digital print, sculpture, poem, drawing, or whatever else you can imagine, feel free to leave it in the Little PMA for others to enjoy.

Your artwork doesn’t have to be tiny. Unlike other mini art galleries, the Little PMA doesn’t use easels to display work, so it can fit flat pieces up to 16″ x 14″. Anything larger can be rolled up or folded to fit inside.

Experimentation is encouraged. Contributing to the Little PMA is the perfect excuse to play around with a new style or medium. Even imperfect creations have the potential to brighten someone’s day.

No books, please. As much as we appreciate contributions, we’d like to reserve the Little PMA for artwork only. Luckily, there are plenty of Little Libraries in the neighborhood! You can search for them here.

Check out thelittlePMA for artwork updates and share your Little PMA contributions and findings by using #littlePMA.
